Leather Care
Care guidance for leather that deserves to age beautifully, not just survive daily use.
These pieces are made to be worn, enjoyed, and kept beautifully over time. Good care is less about over-treating the leather and more about keeping it away from avoidable damage.
Quick reminders
Daily Care
Wipe gently and keep the leather calm
Use a soft dry cloth after use to remove light dust and everyday surface marks. Avoid harsh rubbing, strong chemicals, and random cleaning products that can disturb the natural character of the leather.
Storage
Store in a dry, shaded place
Keep the bag away from prolonged direct sunlight, high humidity, and trapped heat. A cool and dry storage area helps preserve color, softness, and overall shape for longer use.
Shape Protection
Help the bag keep its silhouette
When not in use, fill the inside lightly with soft paper or cloth so the structure stays supported. Avoid overstuffing the bag during daily use because that can strain seams and distort its intended form.
Moisture
Let leather recover naturally
If the bag is exposed to light rain or moisture, pat it gently with a dry cloth and let it air dry naturally. Do not place leather near intense heat sources such as hair dryers, direct sun, or heaters.
Material Notes
Different finishes need slightly different attention
The care logic stays simple, but smooth leather and suede should not be treated exactly the same.
Smooth leather
For sheep and goat leather with a smoother finish, regular dusting and soft dry wiping are usually enough for everyday care. Keep the surface clean and avoid abrasive contact with rough materials.
Suede finish
Suede needs a gentler approach. Keep it away from heavy moisture, store it carefully, and use suede-appropriate cleaning methods only when necessary so the texture stays rich and soft.
Travel and use
During travel, avoid crushing the bag under heavy items. If carrying cosmetics, pens, or liquids inside, place them in smaller pouches first so the leather lining and interior stay cleaner.
